AMD Unveils Semi-Custom Gaming SoC Powered by Ryzen CPU and Vega GPU


AMD is challenging Intel with its new generation version CPU, and the monster is also targeting gaming, design and research community with the 32-core Threadrider 2, which will be available later this year. AMD has announced semi-custom Jane-And-Vega SOC for gaming PCs and consoles, to gain a greater lead on Intel's arrival in the gaming segment.

In an official blog post, AMD revealed that the semi-custom gaming-centric SoC combines the power of AMD’s Ryzen CPU and the Radeon Vega GPU to provide the ultimate gaming experience.


AMD is supplying SOC to a Chinese company Zhongshan Subar, whose aim is to create a new gaming PC and console for AMC hardware driven by the Chinese market. The quad-core AMD regen in the system-on-chip is running at 4 CPUs 3.0 GHz, in which AMD RADNE vega graphics card (24 CUS is running at 1.3 GHz), with 8 GB GDDR5 for graphics processing There is a memory.

The latest gaming SOC is the latest example of how AMD can add high-performance CPUs and GPU technologies to enable gamers to have the most immersive experience possible.


Subar Gaming PC powered by the new semi-custom chip of AMD was shown in the Suburb booth at the Chinajoy event, which is the largest gaming and digital entertainment program of its kind in Asia. 

The Subaru Gaming PC is expected to come at the end of August, while the Subaru Console powered by the same semi-custom AMD SOC is expected to be launched by the end of 2018.


However, the company did not provide any details that the semi-custom SOC will bring it to other markets outside of China.
